COVID-19 CARE PLAN

The health and safety of our customers and staff are at the forefront of our minds at Cardinal Kia. As COVID-19 continues to heighten concerns and awareness on a global level, Cardinal Kia continues to monitor the quickly changing information from Health Canada, Ontario Health, as well as the Provincial and Federal Governments.

An Update From Management: "At Cardinal Kia, the safety of our team members, customers and community comes first. It is what has driven us to take many safety precautions in store and out, from regular deep cleaning sanitization of dealership offices, showroom and customer contact points, to mandatory social distancing, donning protective gear, installation of plexiglass barriers in our sales and service departments, to servicing you by appointment only - we feel all of this is not only necessary but our responsibility to keep each other safe. That is why, on Tuesday May 19th as many dealerships will begin opening their doors, we have made the responsible decision to continue meeting our customers by appointment only, limiting the amount of people in our store and mandating strict social distancing and disinfecting practices. Covid-19 is still with us, and until we fully see it in our rear view mirrors, we won't risk any of our safety. That is our commitment to serving you safely, responsibly and with the greatest of care."

SALES:

The Sales Department continues to operate by appointment only under the following hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Friday - Saturday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Sunday: Closed

The Service Department continues to operate by appointment only under the following hours:

  • Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Sunday: Closed

We will reopen under our regular hours once the COVID-19 crisis is sufficiently under control, and will provide notice on our website and Facebook when that time comes.

WHAT MEASURES ARE IN PLACE TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE?

For those who do need to attend the dealership for an appointment during the COVID-19 crisis, rest assured that we have implemented new procedures according to the recommended guidelines to ensure the safety and comfort of our customers and staff.

To protect our staff and customers alike, we are following suggested guidelines provided by the Province of Ontario and the Workplace Safety & Prevention Services:

  • We are operating on an appointment-only basis in both Sales and Service.
  • We have installed plastic barriers (sneeze guards) in areas where client-facing interactions take place.
  • We have minimized entry points to one door per department.
  • The Sales Department is set up to provide appointment-only consultation utilizing spaced out work areas.
  • Greetings are simply a smile and a hello, and no longer a firm and friendly handshake.
  • We have hung signs throughout the building reminding guests to keep at least 2 metres/6 feet apart while waiting.
  • All staff has been educated of the early signs and symptoms of acute respiratory infection.
  • All guests to the dealership are screened upon arrival, and prompted to cleanse their hands upon entry to the dealership at our sanitizing station.
  • All commonly used surfaces are being cleaned and sanitized using products approved for use by Health Canada, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, and the Medical Officer of Health.
  • We are diligently disinfecting all counter tops, door handles, chairs, payment terminals, pens and work stations in the dealership after each customer's appointment is completed.
  • Every vehicle's commonly touched surfaces and keys undergo a sanitization routine with medical grade cleaners before and after every service appointment.
  • Our staff is performing frequent hand washing and utilizing hand sanitization guidelines, practicing social distancing recommendations, and our Technicians are wearing new single-use gloves for each service appointment.
  • Specific instructions will be provided to you by our Fixed Operations Manager prior to any service appointment required during the outbreak. Failure to comply will result in an immediate cancellation of the appointment in an effort to keep our staff and community safe.

If you would like to learn more about a specific vehicle, simply reach out to us and one of our expert Sales staff will provide more photos or a virtual video walkthrough of the vehicle.

On each vehicle page on the website, you have the ability to apply for financing, add extended warranties, and find a payment that works for you. The rest of the process can be completed over the phone and through email, and then we will deliver your fully sanitized new vehicle to your door.
