Read moreThe Kia Forte enters its 14th year on the market in 2023. After launching in 2010, it has been redesigned twice since then, in 2014 and 2019. For 2023, we're not talking about a new generation, but the changes are so significant that we have to take notice.
In fact, Kia offers us the best Forte to date. Let's see why.
Advanced styling
When it comes to a mid-cycle upgrade, it always means cosmetic improvements. The 2023 Forte is no exception, with a redesigned front end that borrows from the family's newer products. It even has a light signature specific to the new electric EV6. In profile and from the rear, the larger Stinger sedan is also noticeable if you let your imagination run wild. You can also see a spoiler that has been integrated into the trunk.
Objectively speaking, the Forte looks better and more aggressive than ever. It will have no trouble standing out from some of its more blandly styled rivals.
Enhanced technology
Once you're in the driver's seat, you'll notice something new with all versions of the model; the presence of a TFT display in the instrument cluster. Measuring 4.2 inches, it will offer additional relevant information that the driver will appreciate having on hand.
On the more upscale models, there is a brand-new 10.25-inch screen at the top of the center console. This adds a touch of luxury to a model that normally relies on an 8-inch unit. Another interesting new feature is the ability to wirelessly connect to your favorite app, whether it's Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
Improved safety
But Kia didn't stop there. When it comes to safety, they've upped the ante so you're even more protected in your Forte. For example, the standard equipment on each model includes lane keeping assist, lane tracking assist, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, driver attention alert, and lane departure warning.
Then there are other optional features for those who want more. Examples include the adaptive cruise control system which, in addition to keeping a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you, can now slow down when approaching a curve. That’s because the vehicle can take information from the navigation system and then transmit that info to the various systems to adjust speed accordingly.
Rear cross traffic alerts and safe exit alerts are also available.
Truly, the 2023 Kia Forte is more attractive than ever. Stop by to see it and take it for a test drive.
