The new Sportage HEV model uses a turbocharged 1.6-litre Smartstream engine mated to a 44-kilowatt electric motor and a 1.49-kWh lithium-ion battery. This incredibly efficient HEV model outputs 226 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.
The new Sportage PHEV takes efficiency and performance to new levels. It is equipped with a turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine combined with a 66.9-kilowatt electric motor and a 13.8-kWh battery. It delivers 261 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. I
The great thing about the Sportage PHEV is that it can travel for 50 kilometres of full-electric power, and will only take two hours to fully recharge its battery using a 240V outlet.
The 2023 Kia Sportage offers more room and more tech than ever before
The new Sportage is bigger than ever. Occupants now get more headroom and legroom, along with more cargo volume than ever before with up to 1,120 litres when the rear seats are folded.
