Improved range overall
The 2023 Kia Niro EV will feature 407 km of range courtesy of a new 64.8 kWh battery, a slight improvement over the previous model’s 64.0 kWh battery. That said, this battery gives the Niro EV about 22 extra kilometres of range compared to the outgoing model. That may not seem like a huge difference, but in winter conditions or for those who have to drive 150 or 200 km in a day, it can signify the difference between making it to your destination and back with or without having to charge. We don't think anyone will be disappointed with having more range and in that regard the Niro delivers. It also offers quicker charging capability both on DC fast chargers and at home.
Moreover, the 2023 Kia Niro EV in the top-of-the-line Limited model offers V2L bidirectional charging which allows you to use the Niro EV’s battery as a charging source. You can for example use the Niro EV to power small appliances on a camping trip.
